Dear SVA Student,
The Visual Arts Foundation is pleased to announce scholarships & awards available for the 2007-2008 academic year.
There are two lists enclosed. The first list is by concentration, and contains SVA Departmental Scholarships and Awards. You must speak to the appropriate department chairperson for further information about criteria and the application process for scholarships and awards on the SVA Departmental list. Please note that applying for one award on this list does not necessarily preclude applying for any other scholarship for which you might be eligible.
The second list contains scholarships and awards available through the Visual Arts Foundation. To apply for scholarships and awards administered by the Foundation you must use the Visual Arts Foundation Scholarship Application Form provided. Please note that this form should be used only for scholarships listed under the Visual Arts Foundation. Each student should submit one master application only which will serve as an application for all Foundation scholarships.
Please note that receipt of this mailing should not be construed to mean that you pre-qualify or qualify for any of the scholarships listed herein. Furthermore, to apply for the Visual Arts Foundation scholarships and awards, your status as of fall 2007 must be sophomore or junior, depending on the restrictions of the particular scholarship. Your GPA must also be 3.5 or higher to apply.
To apply for the Foundation's scholarships, please complete one application and submit it along with the other materials requested on the application form. To obtain a copy of your transcript, please take this letter with you to the Registrar's office.
